# Cenno

Cenno is made by Luann Sapucaia in Berlin. Version 0.1.0, early access. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 12 or later and a webcam. Windows version planned.

## Gestures
- Point with your index finger: move the cursor
- Pinch while pointing: click; pinch twice: double-click; hold the pinch: drag
- Two fingers up or down: scroll, flick for momentum
- Two-finger swipe left or right: back and forward
- Open hand swipe left or right: switch Spaces
- Open hand swipe up: Mission Control; swipe down: App windows
- OK sign and twist: volume
- Hold a thumbs up: play or pause
- Open hand, then gather your fingertips: Spotlight
- Hang loose: start or stop dictation (Wispr Flow, Apple Dictation or a custom shortcut)
- Thumbs down: undo dictated text
- Rock horns: pause or resume all gestures

### What is Cenno?
Cenno is a macOS app that lets you control your Mac with hand gestures, using the built-in webcam. You can move the cursor, click, scroll, switch Spaces, open Mission Control, change the volume and more without touching the trackpad.

Yes. Cenno is free, with no account and no ads. If you find it useful you can support it through Ko-fi.

No. Cenno runs entirely on your Mac. There is no server, no cloud processing and no data collection, so the video never leaves your computer.

### Which Macs does Cenno support?
Cenno needs an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 12 or later and a webcam. A Windows version is planned.

### Why does macOS block Cenno the first time I open it?
Cenno is not signed with an Apple Developer ID yet. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once.

### Does Cenno work with my dictation app?
Yes. The hang loose gesture toggles dictation in Wispr Flow, Apple Dictation or a custom shortcut, and a thumbs down removes what you just dictated.
